Real Estate Loan Representative

Nutley, NJ

Purpose

Perform processing duties for the Real Estate Lending area, ranging from new loan set-up to post closing follow up. Provide extraordinary service to Proponent’s members by effectively communicating expectations and requirements of loan applicants. Build a business relationship with members, identify member needs, and cross-sell other credit union products and services accordingly.

Job Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate required loan documentation to loan applicants, follow up with applicants on documentation as required to ensure loan files are documented in accordance with regulatory compliance and internal policies and procedures.
  • Serve as the loan closer by scheduling home equity loan closings, generating final loan documents, and reviewing final loan files for accuracy and completeness. Disburse loan proceeds per the final loan documentation.
  • Perform post-closing responsibilities by recording security instruments with local government offices and releasing liens on paid-off home equity loans. Work closely with third party vendor(s) to ensure compliance is maintained with credit union and regulatory policies, procedures, and mandates.
  • Actively participate in the sales effort by identifying opportunities through member contact to cross-sell credit union products and services across lines of business. Provide exemplary service to members by responding timely to inquiries on existing loans.
  • Execute pay-off requests to members and third parties. Handle administrative duties for the Real Estate Lending area. Support the first mortgage lending operation by funding first mortgage loan proceeds, maintaining databases, and following up on final loan documents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2+ years experience in real estate loan processing
  • Familiarity with real estate lending concepts, practices, procedures, and documentation
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to multi-task

Marketing Manager

Nutley, NJ

Purpose

The Marketing Manager is responsible for implementing, executing, and monitoring the effectiveness of strategic marketing campaigns and projects. Additionally, managing internal communications and participating in special projects, as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Campaign Project Management – Oversight of assigned marketing campaigns including concepting, implementation, tracking and recommendations on adaptations.
  • Major Member & Employee Touchpoints – Responsible for the quality, execution and improvement of ongoing organizational communications such as newsletter, social media and intranet.
  • Staff Management – Directs marketing staff to carry out business plans and projects including work assignment, coaching, annual reviews and performance management.
  • Special Projects – Participate in assigned organization projects as a representative of marketing including areas such as product development, special promotions, services updates, unique events and other major happenings in the organization.
  • Cross-functional Teaming – Ensure marketing accuracy, buy-in and regulatory adherence for communications through ongoing interactions with appropriate departments including compliance, training and development, retail sales and loan originations.

Qualifications

  • B.A. in Marketing, Management or Communications
  • 4-5 years progressive Marketing experience
  • Strong understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Proven expertise in campaign and project management
  • Familiarity and experience with MCIF or CRM systems a plus.
  • Knowledge of digital communication tactics and usage including retargeting, SEM and social media.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) a plus.

Graphic Designer

Nutley, NJ

Purpose

The Graphic Designer will work in tandem with the marketing team to develop and execute on marketing plans by providing creative concepts, layout development, and production needs across all communication channels. This includes the development of fully integrated ad campaigns across digital and print disciplines, as well as other ad hoc and internal project needs, as necessary.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and design visually compelling print and digital assets supporting marketing channels including email, direct mail, point of sale, social, display advertising, and various collateral pieces
  • Play an active role in campaigns and projects from inception, scoping, estimating, planning, designing, development, testing and delivery. Follow project from concept to final approval ensuring integrity of creative concept is kept in focus throughout
  • Maintain effective workflow and meet deadlines, along with a keen eye for details, organization and critical thinking
  • Work effectively with others in communicating ideas and strategies behind design concepts
  • Miscellaneous projects, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Some experience with HTML/CSS coding, front-end design and UX
  • Working knowledge of motion graphics is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Strong communications/interactive skills, verbal and written

Part-Time Teller

Nutley, NJ

Purpose

Deliver superior and quality member service for a variety of banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and check cashing. Provide members efficient and accurate transaction processing. Educate members on new products and services and refer to other Credit Union staff as needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Process account withdrawals, deposits, transfers, balance inquiries and loan payments in person, by mail and phone.
  • Handle cash withdrawals and check cashing activity, maintain proper cash procedures according to Credit Union guidelines.
  • Actively participate in sales efforts by promoting Credit Union products and services by asking probing questions to meet member’s financial needs.
  • Assist with ATM settlement, account verifications and payroll deduction.
  • Process miscellaneous General Ledger entries for Loan Department.
  • Complete daily teller proof balancing.
  • Assist Teller Supervisor/Lead Teller with branch proof, general ledgers and miscellaneous requests.
  • Flexibility to work in the Nutley, Montclair and Raritan branches when needed.
  • Available to work Saturdays

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year cash handling experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
